The international ocean glider training course will be held between Sunday (afternoon), 28 May and Friday (afternoon), 2 June 2017 at the University of Gothenburg field station in Kristineberg. The station is about 1.5 hours north of Gothenburg on the beautiful Swedish West Coast, while a portion of course will include field work activities (transit to open ocean to deploy and retrieve gliders) that will take place on the research vessel Skagerak.

The BioSyst.EU meeting will host 12 half day and 1 whole day symposia organised by member societies of BioSyst.EU and external organisations, and two 'open' half-day symposia for mixed talks. In addition to this there will be poster-sessions and evening mingle at the Natural History museum of Gothenburg. Each half-day symposia will feature one or several 30minute keynote-talk from invited speakers and a maximum of 8 talks selected by the symposium organisers.
