About Gunnar Cervin

Principal research engineer within the Centre for Marine Chemical Ecology, CeMaCE, with the main responsibility for the chromatographic and mass spectrometric instrument park. Supervision, service and method development on the same. Research area bein chemical nteractions among marine organisms.

Research and specialisation

Within CeMaCE we study the chemical interactions of interest for the ecology among marine organisms. Signals that might protect against predation, grazing or biofouling, as well as signals stimulating apecific reactions among organisms. My main role within the project group is today more of a natural product chemist (mainly being a biologist), with the technical responsibility for our machine park which today consists of several HPLC with UV-, RI-, Flu- and MS- (QTOF) detectors and a GC-MS.

Other duties
