The candidate will join a group of marine evolutionary biology researchers active at the Department of Marine Science, based at Tjärnö Marine Laboratory.
The candidate is expected to lead experimental work and analyses of gene expression associated with exposure of macroalgae (Fucus) to various salinities.
A particular focus is on somatic growth and formation of adventitious branches and there capacity to reattach and form clones (which is unique to the Baltic Sea).
It is expected that the candidate will communicate research results in writing scientific publications, give oral presentations at conferences, and contribute in various dissemination activities. The candidate
is also expected to take part in other research-related activities at the department, and within the research group in particular.
